Ulcers that develop in the stomach are known as gastric or peptic ulcers. These ulcers are generally quite painful, and the pain is felt immediately after eating something. It would make sense then that if antibiotics have been used to deal with bacteria in other circumstances, then there is no reason that antibiotics would not be effective as a stomach ulcer cure.

What Are The Symptoms Of An Ulcer?

Most ulcers cause recurring episodes of abdominal pain, sometimes radiating to the back. These episodes may be separated by periods of remission lasting from several weeks to years. The pain, often causing a burning sensation, is typically reduced by food but returns when the stomach empties. Pain experienced during the night is a common indicator of a duodenal ulcer.

If an ulcer has become aggravated to a certain point, bleeding may occur. In this case, an upper endoscopy is performed. In this procedure, the doctor inserts a small scope through your mouth to repair the ulcer. If an ulcer has created holes in the stomach lining, surgery may be necessary.

Last but not least, control stress through effective relaxation techniques. Deep breathing, Yoga, or stretching through Pilates exercises can provide beneficial and therapeutic outlets. Stress management, high fiber diet and antacids (on an occasional basis only) are helpful. A combination of all of these is the key to preventing and healing ulcers.
